Q&A
Why did you choose Saginaw Valley State University?
LK: I chose SVSU because of the family-like atmosphere of the coaching staff and the very welcoming individuals already on the team.
What is your favorite part about running?
LK: In running, every day seems like there’s a new challenge. Even though it’s repetitive, there’s always something new. The mental toughness I was able to establish over the course of my high school career is also something that I will never forget, especially through my injury.
What will you miss most about high school sports?
LK: All of the awesome coaches I’ve had and the things I’ve learned that are more than just about the sport itself, but more about becoming a better person.
What do you plan to study?
LK: I plan to study secondary education and agricultural business. I hope to do something in education as well as in agriculture.
