Q&A

Why did you choose Spring Arbor University?

NB: I went there for a visit and I had a really good feeling about it going into it because I knew it was a Christian college, they were competitive in their sports, and they're a smaller school. Those were basically my three main things. I practiced with the volleyball team, and before we did a devotion which is something really important to me and you could tell that’s really real, and that was encouraging to me to know that I was going to be surrounded by people who would push me in my faith.

What is your favorite part about volleyball?

NB: There’s always more you can do to improve your game. It gets boring to not learn and just stay the same. I love learning new things and putting them into a game. Plus, it’s the biggest team sport there is…you have to rely on your teammates so much. I just like everything about it.

What will you miss most about high school sports?

NB: My teammates for sure. The team that I played at states with, that whole team I've played with since I was in third grade…Even though I’m excited to meet new teammates and make new friends, that’s going to be hard because I’ve known those girls for so many years.

What do you plan to study?

NB: I want to study business and maybe minor in sport management and ministry.
