Armada basketball player to start youth training program
Andrew Sniesak led the Armada boys basketball team all season, and now, he's sharing his expertise.
The senior announced Monday that he will be starting his own training program for athletes in fifth grade and older. They will work on basketball fundamentals such as dribbling, shooting, passing, and post work.
"I love the game and working with youth, so I thought this would be a great opportunity to share my personal facility and passion," Sniesak said. "It keeps my skills fresh, despite not playing competitively after high school.
"I've seen how the local coaches and trainers have influenced the person I am and I would like to do the same in return for others."
Kids can come individually or in groups for $10 per athlete per hour. They will train at Sniesak's own basketball facility in Armada that's fully equipped with a shooting machine.
Sniesak finished his four-year varsity basketball career at Armada with more than 1,000 career points. He earned All-BWAC honors and was named to the Blue Water Sports Media Association First-Team All-Area.
